Spoke and Oak!

Do you like bikes? Do you like delicious Maryland craft beer? Let us introduce you to the Spoke and Oak Ride! Prepare yourselves for an afternoon of (responsible) fun as we go for a ride through the rolling hills of upper Montgomery County and then meet for a couple drinks and a great time.

The Ride

The first annual Spoke and Oak ride will begin at Lone Oak Brewery in Olney, MD. Riders will meet at noon to begin the 34 mile ride. After checking in and getting to meet your fellow riders for the day, the group will set off onto the course. Whatever your pace, everyone will meet back at the brewery for a couple of beers on us, field games, and a great after ride party. Food is available at the Farm or from food trucks.

The ride features morning refreshments, commemorative BLAZE pint glass, bike SAG support, a fully marked course, and GPS route with turn-by-turn directions. Paper cue sheets will also be available. We can’t wait to see you on the road for the Spoke and Oak Ride!

The Brewery

Rather than tell you about the brewery, we’ll let them tell you about themselves.

Lone Oak is not just a brewery at a farm. Rather, it’s a farm with a brewery. It’s 28.66 acres of bucolic fields and streams, a pond and wide open spaces. It’s wildflowers and wildlife. It’s crops – barley and hops – and berries and hay. It’s bees raised to produce honey. It’s sunsets and a majestic, pre-Civil War oak tree. It’s our brewhouse – carefully built, piece by piece by world-class craftsmen, using local lumber for the porch posts, beams, and bar. It’s a tap room that feels like home. A little bit of all of this is infused in each pint of Lone Oak’s craft beer.
